This little headpiece started with the cardboard box image of an old toybox that my husband had had since childhood. I wanted to use this in some way in a headpiece. After attending a very instructive and inspired workshop with Ali Ferguson the beginning of a truly unique headpiece was started.
The image has been transposed onto a cream calico which I have then blocked onto a buckram hat base... trimmed with some vintage lace and pearls... and finally the perfect velvet flowers to complete. A silk lining completes this beautiful little hat.
